I’ve Been There. I see You.

To the mama at her wits end. This is for you...Today my thoughts are on you.

You see the pictures of the perfectly matched family and you are like how in the world...I can barely get out of bed.

You try to keep up, you snap the photo, you smile, because you really want to feel happy, but your heart isn't in it.

You are working hard to keep the house up, to feed your family, and care for the littles. And the working mamas, my heart sees you. It can all feel like too much.

I want you to know you are not alone in that feeling. I've been there. Some days can be so hard, so hard.

Here are some things I’ve learned.

  1. Go to bed. Do not stay up mindlessly watching insta stories or scrolling. Things are always better after some sleep - always.

  2. Surround yourself with uplifting, life giving, soul fulfilling music. Maverick City, Bethel Worship. If you don't have a relationship with Jesus - put it on anyway. Try it. You got nothing to lose and I know God wants to meet you where you are. He wants to comfort you, to surround you with His peace. To fill you with hope.

  3. Reach out. Tell someone who cares for you that you are barely hanging on. Your friends love you. They want to encourage you and help you.

I am convinced the biggest lie mama's start to believe is that they aren't cut out to do this. Don't believe it, don't listen to it. God has picked you to be their mama. Your personality, your talents, your heart are exactly what is needed.

And if you are saying...I don't have anyone to tell send me a message. Don't brush it off and say you'll be fine. Your heart needs to be encouraged, your ears need to hear you are a good mama. And if you want to meet, let me know, I give good hugs!
